Here is what I've been working on today. I got Visa gift cards for my brothers but I wanted to put them in something nice. I saw these on a website but changed them a little. The one I copied from had a 1/2 inch closure and I wanted mine to be flat. I actually decorated them myself this time too. I picked the colors and the stamp set. I'm starting to get into this whole creating thing (ok, maybe not). The first picture is of the wallets closed. I used eyelets and ribbon for one and velcro for the other. The second one is of one of them opened. The last picture is of my desk when I was done. I'm sorry the computer screen was so bright, but I wanted to change nothing .
Happy Stamping!!!

Gone for Good... :(
Hello out there in stamping land. As most of you know, Stampin' Up! has moved to having two catalogs a year which means that January 1st is the last day to order from the current catalog. I've attached a link to the customer site so you can pick the retired list in either page number or alphabetically. Be sure to get the stamps and accessories you are dying for before they are GONE FOR GOOD.
Here are the two of the three cards that we did at my first Stamp-a-Stack. As you all know, I hate to create something on my own, so I want to be sure to give credit where credit is due. The River Rock card was done by Stamping Heather. Here is her link http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/723670?cat=11082. You'll notice that I actually changed this a little. The Purely Pomegranate one was done by karineb. You can see her card here... http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/724509?cat=7180 . Everyone had lots of fun and are stocked with 15 cards ready to address and send out. I will be planning these every couple of months so watch out for more dates.
My goal with this new site it to be sure and give you stamped items at least once a week. Be sure to check back often to see what's new. You might notice that the look of things will probably change as I get a handle on this whole blog thing. Happy Stamping!!!

I've joined the crowd...
Hi friends. I've joined the crowd of all those who blog. I wanted to find a way to stay in touch with all the friends I've made as I move around plus be able to share new stamping creations. I figured I'd give this a try and see how long it lasts. I have a goal of adding at least one new thing every week. Now on to the stamping. Here is something new I've been playing with.
As usual, I got the idea from splitcoaststampers. Stampinlauri was the origional creator of this project but I had to try it myself. It is so incredibly easy to do. It's a metal dvd tin with the inside taken out. I picked Cerise Paper to cover the outside and in. Then I filled the inside with 20 Hershey Miniatures covered with the same paper. I have found that sticky tape works better than mono to keep the paper on the candy. I also used sticky tape to attach the paper to the tins. I would be happy to teach a class on this if anyone is interested. Just let me know. here is a picture of the inside.
Stamps: All Holidays; Paper: Cherise DP, Real Red, Whisper White; Ink: Real Red;
Accessories: Antique Brass Hodgepodge, computer generated saying
