PMS Night...

Hello Everyone!

I am hosting my first ever PMS Night on Saturday, April 25th at 6.

That's right, PMS! Pizza, Music, Stamping (or scrapbooking) This is one of those events where you bring your cards, scrapbook pages, unfinished projects, etc., what ever it is that you want to work on over to my house and we stamp and scrap the night away!!

You are more than welcome to use any of my stamp se
ts, ink pads, punches, or even my Big Shot and dies! If you're feeling creatively challenged, I will be here to give you assistance should you need it! You will need to bring all consumable items including paper and adhesive.

I will have door prizes throughout the evening.... Please RSVP with payment no later than Thursday, April 23rd. Start time is
6 pm and runs until 12 am (you do not need to stay until 12 am if you choose not to).

Event fee: $15. This will cover pizza, beverages, salad and a desert. Please feel free to pass this information along to anyone else who might be interested.

Since Teacher Appreciation is just around the corner, this is what I’ll be working on that night. If you’d like to have something EASY ready to go for the night, I will also have kits available. We will be using the Summer Love Rub-Ons out of the new mini catalog. You will get all the supplies to make 6 cards with matching envelopes all packaged and ready to give to your favorite teacher plus you keep the left over Rub-Ons from your sheet. One set is $15 and your second set is only $5 more. These must be pre-paid by April 17th so that I have enough time to order everything. You can see a picture below of the finished project.

I have missed stamping with you all and hope you can come play that night. Happy Stamping!!!

Club is tonight

Here is a sneak peak of one of the cards we will be doing at club tonight.

It's a different take on the tent card. The envelope is behind it. I have to admit I got a little frustrated trying to figure this one out (and I had directions)! Just a little hint, it helps a lot if you score at all the right places and in the right directions. I got this idea from Splitcoaststampers of course. Here is the link to the directions. You can see more ideas be searching for WW090. Looking forward to seeing all my girls tonight or tomorrow morning. Denise, you family is in my thoughts and prayers. Have a safe trip to Del Rio. We'll see you next time.

Here is what I've been up to...

Hi everyone. I've missed you. This week has exploded on me and I still have tons of stuff to do. Here is something that I made last Thursday. I have secret sisters with my MOMS Club group. I thought I would be sneaky and try and give my secret sis something right away. So I made a gift and took it with me. My secret sister was sitting next to me. When she walked away, I snuck the gift into her purse. As she was leaving, she looked into her purse and found her gift. She looked at me and said "Is this from you?" So 5 minutes into the new round, my secret sister knew who I was. OH well. I'll still have fun spoiling her. Here is what she got.

I cut 2 envelopes with my envelope die and my big shot out of Elegant Eggplant c/s. I don't normally use this color but it was screaming my name that day. I shorted the bottom tab and glued them together to make a little box. These boxes are so cute. I covered some chocolate with my Old Olive DSP. The "Friend" stamp is from the new hostess set called A LITTLE SOMETHING. I stamped it with Elegant Eggplant ink on Whisper White c/s. I punched it out with the designer labels punch and mounted it onto a piece of Old Olive c/s punched out with the Curly Label punch. I love our punches. The bag topper is the top note die used with the Big Shot again. If you don't have this tool, you need to get one. I use it all the time and love it. Definitely worth the investment for me. I'd love to teach you how to make this little box. Call or email me to schedule a workshop today.

Valentine Box Class

Isn't this the cutest box? I absolutely love how it turned out. As usual, I didn't create the directions, but the way it looks it all mine. You can see the original here. We will be making this box on Monday, February 9th at 6pm. Class is only $15 and you get everything pictured. The first picture is the box in its entirety. The second is with the cover taken off. This will be an advanced class. You will be following the directions and doing the cutting. You will need to bring your paper cutter, bone folder, and scissors. The directions are very good and it is not hard to do.
Completed Box

Inside View

Each box has 2 covered peppermint patties, 3 Ghiradelli chocolates, a covered book to decorate anyway you want (pages are whisper white) and finally an acetate box full of kissables. It's all about the chocolate. I still have 3 kits left if you are interested. Call or email me today to register.

Valentine's Day Gifts for Kids

Have your kids asked you yet what you are doing for the Valentine's Day party? I have been lucky enough to avoid that aisle so far this year, but we still have almost a month left. Here is what I came up with. Isn't it cute?

The base is Riding Hood Red c/s cut to 4 1/2" x 7". Score at 1/2" along the 4 1/2" side. Score at 1/2", 3" 3 3/4" and 6 1/4" along the 7" side. Score all the lines. Ok, now this part will be hard to describe so bear with me... Cut up to the 1/2" scored line at all points. Before you assemble the box, punch a hole at the top with your Crop-a-dile. I used the 3/16" side and punch in 3/8" (use your cool settings). I folded the paper so that I punched through both sides at once.

I used 21 1/2" of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon. I don't know if you really need that much but I'm trying to make it easier to tie bows.

Here is a picture open. It is a lot easier to thread the ribbon under the box than it looks. Thread the ribbon through both holes across the top of the box, centering it. Now you can push the ribbon down with the box and tie a ribbon on the top. I decorated the front with Candy Lane DSP. I stamped the hearts with the "Love You Much" stamp set in Riding Hood Red ink on Pink Pirouette c/s. It was so easy to punch them out with the "Heart to Heart"punch. I used a dimensional on the medium sized heart to raise it up a little bit. Finally I stamped friend to friend with Black Staz On ink in the lower right hand corner. I would suggest decorating the top piece before adhering it to the box. This will make stamping on the paper much easier. Clear as mud? Have fun.

Karen :)

I need your help...

As you can probably see, I'm not very good at all this computer stuff. I need someone to help me organize my blog. If you can help me, I'll pay you in stamping stuff. PLEASE!!
