Join a stamping club and never leave your house!

Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrator

Ever wish you could come to every class and event offered but don’t really have the time? Like to stamp and do several projects but just don’t have the time to create them? Wish you could just sit down and stamp? Now you can with “Stamps in the Mail.” This is a 3 month club where not only will you build your stamp and accessory collection, you will have everything pre-cut and ready to go (with detailed instructions and color samples). By the end of 3 months, your collection will grow and more importantly you’ll know how to use everything. Who could ask for anything more?

This round we will be focusing our class on the stamp set “True Friend” seen below.

The first month you will get this stamp set (which by the way is die-cut for you so you don’t even have cut it out, just assemble) along with 2 markers (ruby red and chocolate chip) and 1 stamp pad (river rock). These will arrive to you directly from Stampin’ Up! via UPS. Directly from me you will get a packet containing pre-cut cardstock, ribbon, and hardware (whatever is needed to complete that month’s projects) with detailed instructions to complete each project. The next two months you will get accessories to build upon the first month with a new packet to create new projects. You pay $45 plus $5 shipping (if not local) for this class on the go.

The first order will be placed on February 15th. On the 1st of each following month, I will email you the supplies included in the next shipment. With each class, you have the opportunity to add to your order; all you pay is the difference. Since February and March are during SALE-A-BRATION, you might want to add enough to get yourself a FREE stamp set (or rub-on). For February this is $15.30 more plus s/h and tax. When you sign up for the class, I will reserve your spot with a credit card. When you receive the supplies for the next month on the 1st, you have several options. You may…

- Do nothing. Your order will be placed as is on the 15th and your credit card will be billed $45 plus $5 shipping if applicable (you can always pick up your packet from me if you are local).

- Substitute any items. If you already have something on the list, you may pick something else of equal or lesser value and your credit card will be billed $45 plus $5 shipping as long as you tell me before the 15th.

- Add to your order. You can add what ever you fancy. All you have to do is pay the difference. If you order is $150 or more you will also receive the hostess benefits. You can always get some friends together and put in a group order. Just be sure to tell me before the 15th.

Call or email me with your credit card number. You can be anywhere in the United States to play along.

*Be one of the first 5 people to enroll and get an extra project the first month!

You NEED to get the new catalog!!!

Ok. As if the new catalog isn't cool enough, here is another incentive.

Get the new catalog and also get these fun things. The first is a coupon book where you can get FREE stuff every month of the catalog. And to get you started with what you want (ok, need), you'll also get a fun wish list that can also be used for a bookmark in your new book. Remember, for now, you'll get a $10 gift certificate good on your first purchase of $50 or more in addition to the two items above (when you purchase the catalog for $10). With Sale-a-bration starting next month, you have an added incentive to use your gift certificate!! (Who doesn't love FREE stamps?)

Call or email me for your personal copy. Don't want to pay for it, don't!! Host a free workshop and get it for free plus the two items pictured above.*

Karen :)

*Coupon book and wish list might have different colors.

So it's been a little while...

but I'm back. I've actually been stamping a lot but not posting too much. I usually get so frustrated on this thing so if anyone has any hints as to how to make this easier, PLEASE help. I love sharing what's new that I'm doing, I'm just no good at the technical part. Ok, back to stamping. As most of you know, Brenden loves stamping with me. Here are some pictures of him playing...

The card he is working on is for his babysitter and her mother and friend. He picked out the sets and colors himself. The card below is a card he made for his friends birthday. The robot is a set from an old catalog.

Last night, he requested that I make a card just for him. Since Valentine's day is coming up and I've been looking for something to do, this is what I made for him.

It is totally CASED from Christa Larsen (scs name: cardcrazychrista). I love the idea of using the frog from Unfroggetable for Valentine's day. He's so fun. In fact, we will actually be using him for a project at my stamp camp this Saturday.

You still have time to register for this class. It's only $20 for 3 projects and one card. If you can't make it but would like the pieces, you can also register. Add $5 if you need me to mail it to you. Want all the projects completed for you, add $5 more and I'll send you the completed projects. As a reminder, we'll be making a "Rules of Chocolate" dvd tin, a candy pouch, a decorated fruit cup, and a Valentine's day card (this one I'm still working on). Come play with me Saturday night from 5-9!!

Karen :)

P.S. Check out my Stampin' Up! website to see a picture of the dvd tin and check out my calender to learn more!

Why I love our markers...

Here is yet another reason why I love our markers. While working on my many cards, the red marker decided it didn't want to work anymore. It had run out of ink. Luckily I had a real red refill and that is all I needed. Here is my first tutorial as to how to refill our markers.

Here are the supplies you will need.

* your marker :)
* matching color of refill (I love the fact that you can purchase refills for our markers and ink pads. You'll never need to buy another one, but a refill.)
* tweezers
* paper towel to protect your surface

Start with the brush side of the marker.

Use your tweezers to remove the brush part of the marker.

Add your refill a drop at a time. You'll begin to see the color inside your marker as it fills up. If you're like me, you'll know when you have too much. It's ok. Just know that when you put the tip back in, it will spill over and leak out. Be ready for clean up so you don't stain your surface.

Replace the cap and wipe up an excess.

Stand the marker on its end with the writing side on the bottom. This will ensure that the ink gets distributed to both sides of the marker. I let it sit overnight but I'm sure you can use to again before that. Once you are done, but sure to always store your markers on their side so that the ink doesn't sit at one end or the other. That's all there is to it. Thank you to Brenden for helping me out and taking the pictures. He did a great job.

Happy Stamping!!

Karen :)

I've been busy!!!

Today is the monthly appreciation lunch at Brenden's school. This month the kindergarten parents were in charge of providing the food. I thought it would be fun to do a little more. I got it in my mind that I wanted to make thank you cards for all of them. There are about 60 teachers and staff in the whole school but they normally plan for 70. I misread and thought they planned for 80, so I made 80 thank you cards over the last week. I normally make pretty basic cards, but for some reason I decided to step up some of them. I don't know what I was thinking. I had 6 days to make all of these cards. Here are all the cards I made.

Great news on credit cards...

There is a formal Stampin' Up! seminar going on right now for our leaders. It was just announced that SU will be allowing demonstrators to take credit cards later this year with them picking up the cost. This is a huge win for all of us. No more asking for a check or cash when you use your debit card. I am sooo excited. Of course, it's only January so it probably won't happen until November with my luck. Oh well. The catalog dates have also changed to August 11th and mid-January. Big win also. Thanks and happy stamping!!!

Karen :)

I finally stamped

I finally pulled myself away from my computer and made myself stamp today. I wanted to use the holiday bundle that was on sale for valentines. I used whoopsie daisy over at splitcoaststampers as my inspiration. I changed the theme and stamp set but used her overall design. I don't have any valentines type candy yet so I stole from our holiday stash. I get my order today for my Valentine's Stamp Camp which means I will have my sample for the Rules of Chocolate later this weekend. The man in the brown truck doesn't stop by my house until after 7pm so I won't get a chance to work on it today. Happy stamping everyone!!

A new website

Hi friends. Stampin' Up! has updated our personal websites. I've spend some time personalizing it to me and adding lots of events also. One of my favorite features is the newsletter feature. Even if you are already on my mailing list, please go to my new site and click on "Request my newsletter" on the top right. This will add you to my mailing list for newsletters and I will be sure to send it to you monthly. Now that I'm finished playing with my computer, I'm going to do some stamping. Be sure to check back to see what I've been up to...

I'm Back...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I spent the holidays in Nebraska and even though I brought my computer along, I still didn't have access to the internet so I'm sorry to be so quiet. I have lots of share and will have projects up soon. First off is the new catalog.
Isn't it just beautiful. I love the colors. You have absolutely got to get a copy in your hot little hands as fast as you can. You can get yours absolutely FREE by hosting a workshop. January is a great month to have a workshop. When your workshop reaches $350, you get to pick any new stamp set featured in the preview brochure for free in addition to all the other benefits. Email me and I'll let you know which sets are in the brochure. If you want a catalog but now is not the time to have a workshop, you can purchase a catalog for $10. This includes any shipping plus you get a coupon book which will get you something FREE every month of the catalog with a purchase plus a $10 discount on your first $50 order (before s/h & tax). (How's that for a run on sentence!) Ok, I'm getting too tired for anything else tonight. I'll share more tomorrow.

Karen :)
